Up to 500 MB. Files over 100 MB can be slow on phones.
Only transcribe media you own or have permission to use. VoiceToTextFree does not download media from other sites.
Auto-detect works for clear speech; choosing the language is faster and safer for accents.
Limits: 500 MB per file; speech must be audible; Whisper can struggle with music, overlapping voices and very noisy recordings. VoiceToTextFree does not upload files or send audio to a paid API.

How to use Persian in the generator
Choose Persian in the language picker, or leave auto-detect on for clear single-language audio. The model returns Arabic text; the editor lets you fix names, numbers and punctuation before export.
The editor and preview switch to right-to-left layout for this language. Check that the exported file is UTF-8 so the script survives in your player.
Frequently asked questions
Does VoiceToTextFree support Persian?
Persian (فارسی) is present in the multilingual Whisper tokenizer used by this site, so it can be selected in the language picker. Accuracy varies and has not been independently tested on this page.
What script does the Persian output use?
Whisper normally outputs Arabic for Persian. It does not promise romanized output for mixed or code-switched speech.
Can I export Persian subtitles as SRT?
Yes. After transcribing, edit the cues and download SRT, VTT or TXT. Files are written as UTF-8; check them in your target player before publishing.
